Overview

Getting started with Telescope is a three-step process:

1. Sign up and create your Telescope account (free, no credit card required)
2. Install the SDK on your application (SDK Integration)
3. Go to the Telescope console and start troubleshooting your applications

Go to console.telescope.app/signup and create your account.
The account can be created using email and password, or any of the social logins.

In the next step, you will answer a few questions about your account, so we can get to know you better and provide a better setup process and guidance through adopting the Telescope product (takes less than a minute).

Then you will be directed to the Span Search, which is currently empty of data and will contain instructions on how to get started. Those instructions are listed below to keep reading ⬇️

There are multiple ways you can setup your account to start emitting spans and traces to Telescope.

The best way would be to use the Telescope SDK, as it will provide you with easier instrumentation and will automatically capture full request payloads between your microservices (like HTTP body, HTTP headers, DB items, message queues content, and more).

Just choose your language and walk through the instructions to setup:

Note:
If you want to use your existing OpenTelemetry Collector or the native OpenTelemetry SDK, we support that as well.

Once you will complete the process of installing the SDK on your application and send your first traces to Telescope, you can visit the Telescope Span Search to start troubleshooting your applications.
